Renault Sandero RS Racing Spirit Limited Edition

Renault Sandero RS Racing Spirit Limited Edition

Brazil is one of the countries where big European car makers have found such a good footing, their branches there have actually developed into full-blown car makers in their own right making their own models. The new Renault Sandero RS Racing Spirit is one such car, and it has made quite a stir since it’s been announced.

You know Sandero in Europe and Asia as a Dacia, a extremely affordable car with good feature that is, nonetheless, about as interesting to live with as a hairy mole on your forehead. What they have done with this thing in Brazil, though, is putting this bland and uninteresting proposition on a blend of coke and meth. The result is Renault Sandero RS Racing Spirit, a limited edition of just 1,500 units, featuring special appointments inside and out and a fairly powerful – by Sandero’s standards – engine.

On the outside Renault Sandero RS Racing Spirit features a number of distinguishing red accents including graphics shouting out the name of the car along with 17 inch wheels for a more purposeful look. The same treatment continues inside where the black plastics are complemented with a dab of red paint on some of the trims and some really nice piano black stuff and high quality fabric for the seats. Engine-wise you have a 2.0 liter four-cylinder which in Europe would have been considered outdated, but is still a fairly decent motor with 150 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque, corresponding to a top speed of 200 km/h and a 0-100 time of 8 seconds.

The Racing Spirit Sandero RS costs in Brazil the equivalent of $20,000.
