There used to be a time when you heard the word Superbike the only image that popped into your mind was that of a lasciviously curvaceous Ducati in a tricolore livery. Now the Italian brand has come up with something that pays tribute to that image and brings back memories: the 2017 Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition.
Unveiled at round eight of the World Superbike Championship at Laguna Seca, the Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition has magnificent presence, what with the iconic Panigale styling, the signature Ducati headlights, and the evocative tricolore livery which is just fantastic. Powering the Final Edition is a special version of the Euro4 Superquadro engine with 209 hp punch at 11,000 rpm and a torque of 14.5 kgm at 9,000 rpm.
