Hyundai i30 N Wraps Up Testing at the Nurburgring

This coming week the highly-anticipated Hyundai i30 N hot hatchback, the first outcome of the “N” project, will be unveiled in full glory. As a sort of one last big teaser, the company has released footage of the i30N finalizing its handling tests at the Nurburgring, and we have to say it does look pretty nifty tackling those corners.

Hyundai says that in developing the i30 N their goal was not to have the biggest numbers. It is not records they are after, but rather fun and feel and thrill – all the good stuff that make driving enjoyable rather than giving your ego a massive erection.  As they put it, it’s about “the driver’s heart beats per minute (BPM), instead of only revs per minute (RPM).” So the engineering team spent countless hours at the ‘Ring trying to fine-tune three aspects of the Hyundai i30 N driving characteristics: cornering, race track capability and everyday sports car.

Now, all of this does not mean that Hyundai i30 N is built only for track days. The hot hatch should also be pretty good on the street, especially as it will offer a great variety of customisation options,  so that the car’s high-performance features can be adjusted to the driver’s preferences and road conditions. Let’s just hope this isn’t just hot air!

The i30 N is an important step towards strengthening our brand value by enriching it with emotions and performance. This car is made to deliver exhilarating driving pleasure for everyone. It is designed for motorists to experience a mischievous grin when driving a performance car and feel the feeling.
