By releasing a design sketch of the all-new 2018 Honda Accord the Japanese company confirmed the official debut of the car is just around the corner. The event, which is going to be livestreamed on YouTube, will take place on July 14,2017 in Detroit.
Looking sleek and fancy in the design sketch, the 2018 Honda Accord is, according to the manufacturer, “the most fun-to-drive, premium and dramatically styled Accord ever.” Well, it kind of needs to be all that if it wants to remain competitive in a segment increasingly dominated by the Koreans. We’ve been hearing less and less of the once mighty Accord, but the 10th generation model is set to change all that and make the Accord great again!

Here are the known details about the 2018 Honda Accord so far: The family sedan is going to drop its popular V6 in favor of a turbocharged four-cylinder two new direct-injected and turbocharged engines paired with either a new Honda-developed 10-speed automatic transmission, CVT or a 6-speed manual transmission depending upon engine. It will also get, later on, a Hybrid variant with Honda’s two-motor hybrid powertrain technology. More details will be released in the run up to the car’s debut event in July, so stay tuned.
